Hello World

Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m thrilled to be starting this journey of sharing my professional experiences with you over the years.

For those of you who don’t know me yet, I’m working on building a more comprehensive website that will showcase everything I do. In the meantime, consider this your introduction!

ABOUT ME

Growing up in New England, my summers were a unique blend of Pakistani family visits and cross-country road trips, fostering a global perspective early on. After completing my bachelors from Mount Holyoke College and focusing on a variety of subjects, I spent 8 years working in clinical research. I worked on some interesting projects ranging from metastatic breast cancer research to obesity medicine to reconstructive plastic surgery for breast cancer survivors. A pivotal graduate school experience at GWU’s Milken School of Public Health in 2014 ignited my passion for working internationally. An opportunity with Saha Global in northern Ghana, focusing on water sanitation and hygiene, marked my first step into the field, and I haven’t looked back since.

My career path has taken me from the structured world of clinical research to the dynamic realm of international development, and now to the private sector. I’m driven by a desire to build upon my experiences in sustainability, particularly within supply chains across the Global South. I’m drawn to projects that emphasize practical solutions and create tangible impact in diverse communities. I’m currently working as the Head of Sustainability & CSR at The Savannah Fruits Company, a supplier of natural organic raw ingredients for cosmetics and food brands.

Currently, I’m based in Tamale, Ghana, with my husband W. and our three beloved cats. I’m eager to connect with organizations and individuals who share a commitment to sustainable development and are ready to tackle complex challenges with innovative approaches. Let’s collaborate and make a difference.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be adding more content to this site, diving deeper into my background and expertise. But for now, I just wanted to say hi and express my excitement about connecting with you.

Stay tuned for more updates –– I promise it’ll be worth the wait!
